FTSQ COMMUNITY HEADER .png

The word ‘community’ means something to our founder.
It’s rooted deeply in her tribal heritage, her Kiwi culture
and the way her parents raised her.

COMMUNITY

Welcomes you

Doesn’t judge

Understands you

Supports you

Feels like home

This community doesn’t believe you need to conform
to the norm in order to succeed.

Throughout her life FTSQ’s founder has met some amazing non-conformists. Many were like her, loud and outrageous, not giving a f*** what others thought of them. But, many sat more quietly on the side-lines begging to be heard or simply observing quietly from a distance. Lena took as many under her wing as she could, but it never felt like it was enough.

In creating The FTSQ Community Lena wanted to create a safe environment where non-conformists could be themselves and celebrate their differences. Where the squiggly brained mindset was understood and where non-conformists felt they were amongst people that genuinely cared about helping and supporting each other.

The FTSQ Community is made up of wonderful people from all over the world, so we’ve created a Facebook Group to make it easier for everyone to connect with each other. We do have other ways you can engage with us too, which you can find if you take a wander around the website menu. We’ve got podcasts, blogs and newsletters you can sign up to and all of our social media’s, which you can check out at the bottom of each of our website pages, if you fancy a bit of nosy.

The original idea behind the existence of the Facebook community was that it would exist for the following reasons:

Discussions/ideas: spark conversations around all sorts of topics no matter how unconventional, different or unorthodox they may seem, without judgment

Inspiration: the world can feel quite ‘vanilla’ to a non-conformist sometimes and we wanted to be able to provide inspiration from loads of different sources i.e. events, talks, books, films, quotes etc.

Sharing of challenges: every single community member should feel free to share challenges/worries about their business, their life as a non-conformist without fear of ridicule or rejection

Networking/Events: The idea has always been for the community members to get to know each other, and where appropriate collaborate and support each other with their businesses via their networks, and in time for us to even host online (and maybe even one day in real life) events. (This is a WIP at the moment – but watch this space).

Support: So that no non-conformist in the group will ever feel like they are ever alone again. For every member to feel like they can turn to the community if they are ever in need of someone to talk to, ask a question of or share ideas with etc.
